The SkyRC NC3000 Pro is a battery charger and analyzer for AA and AAA size NiMH and NiCd batteries. Unlike standard chargers, the NC3000 Pro features four independent slots that allow for simultaneous charging, discharging, and battery analysis using six different modes.
Features and modes
The NC3000 Pro offers a range of modes for optimizing the performance and health of your rechargeable batteries:
Charge: Provides a standard charging function, with an adjustable charge rate from 0.20A to 3.0A per slot.
Discharge: Discharges batteries at an adjustable rate from 0.20A to 2.50A to prepare them for optimal charging or storage.
Cycle: Automatically charges and discharges a battery up to three times. This mode is useful for determining a battery’s true capacity and can help improve battery health.
Break-in: Conditions new or long-unused batteries with a small charge and discharge rate in a charge-discharge-charge (CDC) sequence. This helps stabilize and improve battery capacity.
MaxBoost: Charges a battery to full and then discharges it to a user-defined capacity level. This is a specialized mode for applications requiring a specific battery state, such as RC racing.
Turbo: A high-speed charging mode that can charge a single cell at up to 3A. The charger’s intelligent algorithm automatically reduces the charge current if it detects high internal resistance to prevent overheating.
